I know exactly what you mean. During the past two weeks, AR's have gone from my want-now to wait-and-see list. If I can stay the hell off GB, I might actually be able to replenish my funds for:

    Q50DeH7.jpg

CZ SP-01 Shadow Target II. CZ Custom just started taking orders for it a couple of weeks ago. They're supposed to be importing the first 1000 directly from CZ-UB in mid-January. To get one, you have to pay a $200 deposit and wait to be contacted. In fact, the order form even states that if you bother them (CZ Custom) with excessive questions about your order (via either phone or e-mail), they'll cancel your order and refund your deposit without notification. LOL Once your order is allocated, they'll charge your CC the additional $1300 and ship the pistol to your FFL.

Steyr L9A1. I'm definitely buying one of Steyr's striker-fired pistols but it has dropped a few notches down on the priority list for the moment. I'm still waffling somewhat between the C9 and the L9.

CZ Bren 805. Eagerly awaiting news about whether or not the 806 will be imported by CZ-USA. If it is, I'll bet the 805's price will drop...a little.

DW Silverback .45 ACP. I'm not usually a two-tone pistol guy but this one actually looks great and the prices now are about $200-300 less than what they were back in May/June.

Agreed. Expecting the state of Maryland to realize how its own stupidity is working the opposite of what they intended is something you and I may never see during our lifetimes.

Lol, you're going to need a serious bonus for this Christmas. Nice list.

Nice list. That SP-01 is beautiful. I think I know what I'm saving for.

On the Steyr pustols. Buy the M9A1, it is the best of the bunch. I own one and a L9 and have shot thier compact. The M9 really is the best of the lot.

If you go to Freestate you can shoot mine

Should get a nice one in January and then another really nice one in March after annual evaluations. ;)

I'm still cracking-up about the disclaimer on CZ Custom's order form for the SP-01 Shadow Target II: bother us too much and you won't get one! I don't think I've ever read that kind of disclaimer before, anywhere. Granted, it's going to be one helluva pistol for $1500 but I'm sure there will be plenty available for sale.

I may take you up on that some time! Thanks!

Trijicon MRO if I find a nice sale.

Slickguns dot com's website says that they have the Trijicon MRO for $372 without the mount and for $428 with a full co-witness mount. I have not bought anything from these guys. Are they reliable? If not, I will try to call OpticsPlanet and see if they will price match. I have not seen anything lower than the above mentioned price.

For me, this is my list. For some of these, I will only buy if the price is right.

    1. KAK Shockwave Blade kit (w/ buffer tube)
    2. KAK flash can (slim version).
    3. BCM charging handle, medium or small latch.
    4. AR lower parts kit.
    5. 2-stage trigger for an AR
    6. CQB type of AR optic
    7. 300 Blackout upper
    8. AR BCG. Plain phosphate finish is fine.

Get the medium, the small is too small.

Had seen that deal as well and was holding out for something a little better from a known distributor. The MRO has gotten solid reviews and is said to be much more robust and water proof than the other options in the $200-400 range.

Thanks my friend. I hope someone else will chime in about their experience with Slickguns. I am always skittish about buying something expensive from an unknown vendor.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends on MDS.

Don't think Slickguns actually sells the products. They redirect you to the company that is. I could be wrong though

Aim Surplus has them again for $444 with mount. Got one last month from them. It is very well built. Still not used to the both eyes open shooting yet. Need more practice!

And to clarify to Cal the comment that I was making, I'm not familiar with the dealer that Slickguns is linking to for the Trijicon MRO promotion, although the comments on the Slickguns page don't indicate people have had problems with their orders. I'm also waiting for a slightly better deal as it's not an item I need to rush to get.
