That's a shame. I know Greg and he is a really nice guy. Unfortunately red maryland isn't about "news" and never really was. They are essentially shock jocks looking for fame and attention. They say they are their to push conservative ideas, the only ones who actually were left when they realized that wasn't what the others actually wanted.

Oh good. So now thousands of Marylanders who have been threatened by ISIS getting their home and personal information through hacks now have a chance to get a permit, because that's obviously good and substantial, right? Oh, maybe not.

Well at least FLD isn't making business owners produce small encyclopedias of business records and receipts in order to get a CHL, right? Oh, seems worse than ever you say? Oops.

Well in any case we should support Hogan because a minority Republican Party can only be effective if we all stick together, right? Just like Hogan is standing by Trump, right? Oh.

Well, in any case the tolls are a little bit cheaper. A resounding victory for conservative Marylanders.

    How dare we complain.

Kline is a douche. Did he really say CCW cult?

I am personally still voting for Hogan because he's been pretty good except for the 2A issue, and the alternative will be far worse. But at this rate Kline is going to get Hogan Erliched.

btw, I do not think Kline speaks for Hogan admin. He has his own personal douche-y opinions.

Kline obviously does not recognize pure marketing for someone selling $500 classes that will go nowhere fast, except for the $$.

And his own article appears to be contradicted by his comment at the bottom:

The Governor cannot "let" anybody do anything inconsistent with the law. He cannot contravene the legislature and make a law not exist. While we want to see CCW expanded, we also believe in the rule of law.

In other words, nothing has changed! case closed.

Yes, he did, repeatedly, along with other disparaging comments about MSI and, by insinuation, their leadership.

He still didn't research the facts of the story he passed on. Truly a douche bag's douche bag....

Best statement on this thread . . . "Kline is going to get Hogan Ehrliched." When supposedly pro conservative bloggers distribute patently unsupported and false information, and tell knowledgeable conservatives to shut up and enjoy it - it kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I suppose Kline mistakenly believes he is ginning up Hogan's base :(

Sounds like they are upset that the 1st Amendment happened to them. MD does not seem to be moving forward. Next, if not already, there will be G&S on the 1st. I have stepped away from reading the MD 2A Issues because it was depressing and just reading this short thread gives me two thoughts one, Hopefully "no press is bad press" and two, the cult is large yet divided (if the guy who wrote the article using "cult" is actually pro ccw or even pro 2a at all). This needs to turn out as a positive and somehow get everyone on the same page.

CCW Cult? Never heard of this website/blogger until now. Sounds like a Massachusetts conservative. The MDS Maryland 2A subforum probably gets more page hits in a day.

Did you listen? What was the response? Did MDS get an honorable mention?

Yes I did listen. I cut out just the portion, which is literally half of their 90 minute show. They basically say we are all nuts for expecting honest, factual information and that we are all upset that they are giving Hogan credit for something.

I keep wondering what credit does Kline think Hogan deserve for Kolbe? Again, I'm a major Hogan apologist, but even I think Kline is both overstating the case and being a douchebag all of the same time.

I would add that many of the police in the state also appreciate all of his silence when BLM and the Baltimore City/MoCo delegations were pushing through their gutting of the LEOBR this year. Especially him inviting all of the LE representatives to be there for the signing of Noah's Law and then also deciding to use them as a backdrop for his signing of their anti-police "accountability" bill. That was a classy move.

yeah, I am not sure I believe this part:

An individual applies for and receives a hunting license. The MSP looks to see if anyone on this list has a criminal record.
*When a person successfully kills an animal while hunting, the kill is registered on the harvest list.
*On that harvest list is the type of weapon used.
*If the weapon is a firearm, then the MSP get’s their SWAT team together and kicks down their door at 4 AM.

I find it very hard to believe that the MSP and DNR are that coordinated. "Purchasing a license" also consists of going into compass and paying money, and it is virtually instant. I highly doubt they can complete background checks that quickly. Getting a harvest confirmation is also instant. I'd bet that if it actually does happen, people are popping up on the MSP radar for other reasons.

That said, any information you give the government can be used against you and you should assume that it will be. The government is not and never shall be your friend.

Now THIS is how you research an article and gather facts about a subject. Please share this far and wide.

    https://aminerdetail.com/2a-community-outraged-over-carry-permit-deception/
I like how he rips apart the other "click bait" blog, but avoids mention of it as much as possible.

    Powerful close ...
I’m going to take the opportunity to editorialize here. The Maryland State Police are not interested in preventing gun violence. They are interested in low-hanging fruit to make it appear as if they are doing something to stop the violence.

It’s easy to put on your Soldier-gear and kick down the door of some 50 year old farmer in Carroll County, take a few hunting rifles, and do a victory dance, claiming that you took dangerous weapons out of the hands of a violent criminal.

An enforcement mindset that he attributes to the O'Malley administration and he suggests is still pervasive at the MSP manifesting in a general anti-gun rights culture (particularly when it comes to approvals for carry permits), which Hogan has done little to counteract.
