I have the act and the g2s and while I like the act for precision shooting I live the g2s. If it still had an M4gery an act would likely be my choice. Sad thing is with that link its only 40 bucks more for the g2s.

Skip the geissele and go for a larue MBT for $125. You just have to wait for it. A step above the SSA and every bit as good as the SSA-E.

I have a G2S and its amazing but if I had the money of prefer not to have to deal with the retaining pin.

What's the deal with the retaining pin on the G2S? I'm looking at a ~100 buck budget for an improved FCG for my AR and it seems like either the ACT or G2S are my main options there.

(I built it with a QMS, basically milspec, trigger from ALG so either one would be an improvement)

There is a small paper clip retaining spring. Not hard to install and I've never had an issue with it. It would just be nice to have the pins only. Plus as I said I'm not sure if I stand a chance to dmg it taking it apart, even if not dmg we all lose things now and then.

I've also never taken it apart so I'm not sure how hard it is to take out or if they are easy to dmg. For 100 bucks I don't think there's anything on the market close.

I have to look to see but I'm sure you can order spare clips somewhere just in case.

As I said for 100 bucks you buy this and laugh every time you pull the trigger.

That doesn't sound like a big deal. Thanks.

Just picked up an SD-E from Primary Arms for $187.50. Couldn't pass it up.

I have the SSA and really like it. Get the SSA-E if you want a light trigger - but for me - the SSA is it.

[EDIT] If you want a nice value 2 stage trigger - the Rock River 2 stage National Match is hard to beat.

I have used their Hi Speed NM but not the DMR, it is an incredible trigger. The difference is the adjustability of the NM for CMP competition vs the reliability of the DMR for battle use.

Thanks. I'm thinking if I ever do a Creedmore build for hunting, this might make a nice trigger to go with it.

It would be a great choice.

I am personally in the process of gathering parts for a CMP/NRA High Power legal competition build. It is difficult to be patient and wait for the sales but saving $70 on the trigger and $70 on the free float handguard definitely helps.
