We have been having an ongoing issue with a neighbor. Issue escalated last weekend and we had to call the County Sheriff. Deputy suggested we take out a Peace order on this person. We went to court on Tuesday and were granted a temporary Peace order. Final Peace order hearing is on Tuesday 6/21 in Westminster.

We have been calling lawyers since this Wednesday trying to get someone to represent us. We left messages and have not received any call backs.

Any Lawyers in the house that can help? Anyone know a Lawyer that can help?

    Thanks in advance.

Is a Peace Order similar to a Restraining Order? Not a lawyer (obviously) just curious.

Do you anticipate a problem ?

Generally you would basically just do a replay of your statement of facts for the Temp order. The difference for the Perm Order is the other party has the opportunity to present a rebuttal.

Yes we have, this involves issues on a shared driveway. Harassment and threats.

IMO I dont see any attorney doing anything different.

Bring the results of the land survey. Bring any documentation of harassment. Have witness you can call or documentation of callimg law enforcement get copies of reports if one was written. Video docs are good as well as voice mail and emails.

Have your spouse there too and let the judge know your in fear if so.

Plan and be prepared to ask and answer questions from the judge

Nah. Since the problems are at home, he can already carry on own property, no Permit required.

Threats cross the property line. He can get a permit if he gets a peace order. An active ongoing threat from a neighbor is not only a threat when he is at his house.
