Mine as well.

There is nothing isolated about this pattern of "justice" either. I really want to know how this dirtbag and others of similar uselessness are continually turned loose. I also really want to know who is responsible for it. I want NAMES, be they prosecutors or judges or both. There has to be a way for this continuous pattern of revolving door "justice" to be or become unacceptable. As far as I am concerned, this constantly repeated scenario is but the latest example of complete incompetence at best, and criminal negligence at worst. Against this backdrop, there's also the fact that the very same people presently held unaccountable for putting these animals back on society's streets are almost certainly the same ones restricting one's innate right under penalty of incarceration to carry the most viable means of protection from the very scum they continually reintroduce to the community at large. I'm sick to death of this wanton disregard for the rights and the safety of decent people. People want nothing more than to live their lives reasonably free of these confirmed and habitual predators, and with the capability in an always imperfect world of having a chance to defend one's self and others upon encountering one or more of them. Neither is too much to expect.

How this usually works is that it takes a year to bring something to trial, a year during which the thug is out on the street and able to intimidate the witnesses. Once the trial comes around, the critical witnesses are nowhere to be found because they lay low at their aunts house in North Carolina.

This guy is a good illustration why 'three strikes' laws are a good idea.

Well, hopefully they'll at least plead guilty and take a life sentence rather than risk the death penalty, thus sparing the family the agony of a trial.

Oh wait, we don't have that anymore either. Thanks again O'Malley, Frosh, and Co. Once again people in the rural part of the state have to suffer so liberal politicians from MoCo, PG, and the city can feel all "actualized" about their "ideals."

This is what is so frustrating about the criminal justice system in this state. It simply doesn't work. The courts are and especially the State's Attorneys are so over-burdened that almost everything goes to a ******** slap on the wrist plea deal, a stet docket, or a nolle prosequi before trial. And they WON'T fund more judges and prosecutors, because guess who runs the General Assembly? Wealthy defense lawyers. And in the event a case does go to trial, even when found guilty the sentences tend to be paltry compared to neighboring states. You look at almost any thug murderer in the paper and they all have rap sheets pages and pages long (though I will admit this has to be one of the worst ones even I've seen).

Opsec. Really sucks to have to be paranoid about who you discuss your hobbies with. Even the best safe in the world won't prevent theft if they are hurting your spouse in front of you. How this guy was even walking the streets given his history is beyond me. F this state and its lenience on violent criminals. ONE conviction of armed robbery or assault with a firearm should put you behind bars for a while, no exceptions.
