Interesting ... based on your previous post ... I thought you meant this one ...

which, if you expand the image, appears to be a dead ringer for the Mueller. However comments from owners of both the A1 and Mueller on other websites indicate they are not the same.
Of this type of open reflex design, I had also looked at the Burris Fastfire in the past, but just didn't have the reason/platform to get it (and already had an EOTech, functioning back then, and a Bushnell TRS-25). However the Mueller price is attractive enough that I might bite.
In addition to uses mentioned earlier, had been thinking about doing an Appleseed with my 12-yr old using this rifle and the 10/22, so maybe the open design would work well in this context (especially with the circle around the dot sight configuration - similar to the EOTech but missing on the Bushnell).
It applies to center fire rifles, not rim fire if that is your question.
Pretty much a waste to put a single post scope on a rimfire when you would be much better served with a Nikon 22 scope or even a BSA Sweet 22 scope.Trijicon Accupoint TR-24 on an M&P 15-22. https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=TR24
I run this as well on my 15-22. Not a bad scope at all.Nikon 2-7X P-22. Works pretty well.

You use a $1200 scope on a $500 rifle! I am looking at scopes for my next 5.56 AR build and my budget is $500. (About 1/3 of my budget for the whole gun)
Check this scope out, it's seriously nice for the money...

For under $500, I challenge you to find a better scope. It's not as good as my Horus HDMR (which I paid $875 as part of a 50% off LEO/MIL special) but it's pretty darn close.
