    Integrally suppressed barrel too.

Can't really offer much more than, say a prayer and let it eat.

Surely the interaction of suppressor, caliber, barrel length and velocity have been worked out by trial an error if not the Greenhill formula.

This is a bit off course, but wanted to ask if a 300 blackout complete uppers fall into the same bucket as the 5.56/223 HBAR? Meaning, does the barrel prolife have to meet the same HBAR standards. I was under the impression the HBAR would not apply to the 300 and almost any profile barrel can be installed. Have a complete lower, and just ordered the 300 upper. Prior to mating them, wanted to ensure this is okay.

    Thank You

Due to the diameter of the bore, it has to be an HBAR, to accommodate the diameter of the bore and maintain the structural strength of the barrel.

appreciate the input. Sorry to say, I wasn't very clear with the post. From a legality standpoint, does the rifle upper have to be HBAR?

If you get a 300blk upper, it is an HBAR, regardless of how it is described. Well, since MD hasn't really 'defined' yet what an HBAR is, the barrel profile of a 7.62 bbl will meet the accepted definition by most ;)

Even that barrel with it's tapering, still appears to have a .750" diameter behind the gas block, which should keep it HBAR profile by definition. I think.. lol

Oops, just looked at the schematic and it is only .700 in the tapered area... that could be an issue for someone building an HBAR..

Yeah, that's why this statement is not true.

Are you planning on shooting cast bullets through your can? Bad idea to begin with. Probably voids your suppressor warranty and you will most likely end up with a baffle strike and at a minimum will lead up your suppressor.
