what size batteries does it take? I have a cheaper walmart Moultrie did decent...

the energizer lithium's are the best as far as life. IMO....the rechargeable ones didn't last as long but only plus is you can recharge them obviously.

    I think it took 8 AA's. A 12 volt system.

The times are 12 hours off as is the date but you get the idea. I guess this explains the shortage of wabbit.

I finally caught a buck on my parents land. Have had several does and fawns visiting regularly but this is the first buck. Hopefully more start showing up that are bigger.

Great shots, especially the first, wow. Besides sportsmen, for wildlife biologists getting censuses of different animal populations, the strategic placement of these game cameras may become an increasingly important tool. As they've become more affordable and more powerful, the nature photography that one sees on these web boards is impressive.

I swear if it weren't for these pics, I'd forget what a deer looked like.

First time in six years I didn't bag one during shotgun season.

M/L starts the 21st. Maybe then.

Starting to regret my last stinky (gut shot) deer donation.

the does have been moving around in the daytime again ....... guess the pressure of the first week of rifle season has faded away.

Nice pics. I must have looked at the wrong download on the computer. Maryland has one more week of rifle season for deer? I thought there were a few dates in January as well.

Muzzloader opens up again - I and some others only use muzz.
('cause we're too cheap to buy the H&R single shot
tack driver.) Or we like rifle accuracy.
Or alot of smoke.. my last shot deer went over complaining,
one before had lead in the lung disease.
    Lasted 160 yards..

Thanks. Got ya. The extended seasons for archery and muzzleloader do add to their appeal.

Rifle season is for two weeks starting the Saturday after thanksgiving. Typically opening day spooks the deer pretty good with all the hunters in the woods. Pressure tends to slow for the second week, so now that it is back to bow for a week before later muzzleloader, us bow hunters are glad to see the daytime activity back. There is a late rifle weekend in Jan (10 and 11) I believe. Although Sunday is only on Private land on certain counties.
