The Food Market in Hampden has a great steak frites, the scallops are also a winner, and the lobster fingers are amazing!

    Tio Pepes.

So many great things to eat there. Roasted Duck. Oysters Rockefeller. Lobster and chicken over a white wine cream reduction... The list just goes on and on.

Aldo's in little Italy. Locally owned. One of the top rated baltimore restaurants every year.

Try the seafood Wellington or lobster Emilio when you go to..and i could eat the oysters with crabmeat in champagne sauce everyday.

If you're up for the drive, here are two suggestions:
    1) Smokehouse Restaurant at Antrim 1844 in Taneytown
    2) Schmankerl Stube in Hagerstown
    Dress nicely.

Ruth chris, or prime rib, with maybe a concert or casino games after dinner is nice too. I think old town ellicott city is not too bad. I went to to this french joint on top of the hill in old town ellicott city. It was nice.

I would look up famous chefs in baltimore or something. But I second prime rib, with gaming afterwards, even if you dont gamble, its your anniversity....try your luck...

The Woodberry Kitchen is a great restaurant. It's pricey but I think it's worth it. Plus, you're paying for local ingredients. The desserts are phenonemal. You may scoff at the idea of basilice cream but pair it with some blueberry pie and

Abbey Burger is a pub so little less "date nighty" but have some of the largest obscure game animal and beer selections I have seen in the area. They also have tasty adult milkshakes. Plus, their chips are homemade.

    Good luck!

Edit: Both are located in Baltimore.

    Woodberry is excellent!!!

My favorite is Tio Pepe's. The maitre d' is well-known and very recognizable. I had him on a jury years ago. The judge made a comment on it.

I think the garlic shrimp are superb. Both the red and white sangria are outstanding. "Spanish Coca-Cola".

We went to King's Contrivance in Columbia for our anniversary several years ago. It was really nice. If you're willing to brave DC, one of the the best dinners we've had was at the Blue Duck in Georgetown. It was pricey, but worth the splurge.

Cazbar at 316 N Charles St. in downtown. Amazing food! We found it by accident one night when the restaurant nearby we wanted to go to was closed for some repair work. Flavors are well balanced and wait staff are extremely nice. Ask to be seated in the middle or back because if you are by the windows, you will need your coats(old windows-drafty).

Wifey and I are having our 17th anniversary next Saturday and we're looking for a Baltimore/Columbia restaurant. Trying to stay away from chains and find something a little different. Steaks and seafood are always winners, and any place that has more wild game options would be an option as well.

    Thanks for any input.
Happy Anniversary! My wife and I are celebrating our 10th. today. We're going to Sakura's in Prince Frederick tonight.
