isn't that a great tragedy the women's suffrage movement has degraded to a movement for abortion and free contraceptives?

Exactly. There are some sensible women, like my friend who said that while she thinks abortion should be legal, it isn't even close to the most important issue facing the country, and thus votes Republican. That is undoubtedly the truth. Someone who thinks otherwise has their priorities mixed up.

No, but I think voting should be limited to men who pass a certain literacy test and those who are net taxpayers. That will have the effect of disenfranchising a much larger percentage of blacks and Hispanics than whites, although those who pass those criteria would be allowed to vote just like anyone else.

I commend your candor (though I don't agree). So...no women or did you mean "men" as in both.

I could get on board with that

Oh horseshit. They want it passed to stop illegal immigrants from voting. For that matter an identification card is not a license. There is no testing or qualification involved and they will issue one to anyone regardless.

I wonder if he will comment on the suppressed votes in Philadelphia when the black panthers were intimidating white voters.

This is the kind of forward thinking that is going to turn the Republican party around.

I waver back and forth on that. I certainly don't think single women should be allowed to vote. I debate with myself as to married women.

The problem is that once you give people the right to vote, you can never take it away, as they'll never vote to disenfranchise themselves. That's why you have to be very careful about whom you extend the franchise to in the first place.

Its a shame more women don't see it that way but apparently that was the biggest issue last night in Virginia....

Exactly. The Democratic party is now a party of special interests, all of which individually care about one thing, and one thing only.

    Blacks - affirmative action
Hispanics - amnesty for other brown skinned Hispanics
Women - free birth control and abortions
    Homosexuals - "marriage"
Government workers - more pay and pension benefits
Welfare leeches - continued "free stuff"

    Have I left anyone out?

I vote but but since the cumpeter voting systems have been put in place it makes me wonder if it is fixed. If you google that you might be surprised by what you see. That is one reason I am hesitant about registering Democratic. Lets say the poles showed the republican was winning but after voting was over the Democrat was the winner. If there were more Democrats registered it would be plausible that the votes went to the Demecrat, based on the amount of the registered voters.

Gun registration affects everyone. No one should have to get a license to use a right. It just so happens that many states (Maryland) are only trying to get this passed to suppress minority owners. So it is a huge deal on both fronts in that rights should not be licensed nor should gun ownership suppression happen.

See what I did there? An unarmed populace makes for easy pickings for the criminals - both the ones on the street and the ones who slimed their way in to office.

You left out the "protectionists" that want the government to protect them from everything.

The fact that all women care about is the right to murder their offspring should make reasonable men question the wisdom in giving them the right to vote in the first place.

So much wrong there, but I'll just ask this question. It's in no way the man's problem that he chose to stick his willy in a woman without knowing what she would do if she got pregnant or just plain taking care of it himself and wearing a rubber? It makes more sense that people making those bad decisions should be aborting offspring.

isn't that a great tragedy the women's suffrage movement has degraded to a movement for abortion and free contraceptives?

Where are these free female contaceptives you speak of? I've seen lots of places handing out rubbers, but never anything for a woman?

I completely agree with you. SB281 is a way to suppress minorities from gun ownership and I find it deplorable. The problem is, a lot of poor people don’t even realize what is going on.

I called in to the Anthony McCarthy show last night because they were discussing SB281. I told him that with 60$ for finger printing, 50$ for a background check, and an unknown amount for training, this new law is a direct assault on the right for poor people to own firearms.

I then explained to him why SB281 is illegal, because you can’t license a right and the SCOTUS in 2008 declared handguns to be an individual right.

I don’t know if you know who Anthony McCarthy is but he is a pretty big community leader in the black community and he was shocked to hear everything I said. He is somewhat pro gun and was not happy to hear what I had to tell him. And that is the situation that we have to deal with. Many people do not know what is going on and they bring this disinformation to the debate..

This state is vastly controlled by liberals and we need to reach out to them. We need to build bridges and overcome misinformation. And we absolutely won’t be able to do this if we go off on racist rants about how only white males should be able to vote. Not to mention that is morally corrupt to claim that we all deserve the right to own a firearm in one breath but then state in the next that not everyone should be allowed to vote.
