I was about to make a snarky comment about whether you heard of SB281... then I saw you live in a free state. Only a couple miles away makes all the difference.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure that they still some.

If I wasn't unemployed right now, I'd get one sent to my gunsmith, since he only charges $25 per transfer.

Contact Engage. I know they're closed for a few days, but to my knowledge they should have at least a few.

I'll call them after I'm employed again.

I've been thinking about painting mine...are you all using enamel or something else?

Yes, enamel pens. You can pick them up from Michael's in 3 pack of colors. I used brake cleaner on the lower first and to wipe away the excess paint. There are a lot of vids on youtube on how to do it. Pretty simple, I would recommend you do what I did as it work like a charm.

    1. Clean the lower with Brake clean
    2. Use an enamel pen to fill the engraving with paint, try not to get a lot of paint outside the engravings.
    3. Take a pin or small piece of wire and work the paint into the engraving while the paint is still wet by tracing the groves with the pin.
    4. Wait about 3-5 mins and wet a paper towel with brake clean and gently begin wiping the excess paint away, try to wipe at 90 Degrees to the cuts. Turn the paper towel over to a clean spot several time and re-wet with brake clean.

    Paint! Yea paint!

Following Klunatic's suggestion, I just used Testors paint and toothpicks. I couldn't find the paint-pens nearby. The Engage 'e' was the hardest part, as I kept getting bubbles. I probably cleaned it and repainted about 6 times. Mineral spirits suck the life out of the black powder coat, but a few coats of gun oil spunked the powdercoat back up.

Went for subtle accents, with the exception of my classy piece of red electrical tape on the brass deflector to prevent any further scratches. I think the red tape adds a nice touch though. Now I just need some distance optics ...and a lot more practice.:innocent0

P.S. Let me know if my number of pictures is too obnoxious. I can cut a few/all out.

Looking good, I remember our old forged lowers had "ENGAGE" color filled red, I filled safe and semi in white.

You guys are really making me want to build mine ASAP...

Lower and Upper. My first build and everything went together great (except for the small bolt catch roll pin from a spikes kit). Love the fit and finish, hope to shoot it next weekend. Thanks Engage!
