never heard of them till last weekend, apparently made in Nevada and sport a life time guarantee. Bought the J.A. nine only because i didn't have one yet, for $159 new. crazy. took it out that afternoon and it functioned flawlessly. It is perhaps not the most technologically advanced firearm, and rather heavy for a pistol, but simplicity lends itself to reliability.

The gun show dealer mentioned that the High Point is their biggest competition. I think that relates to price point only, the Jimenez has better fit and finnish. For the money you really get a decent product.

Is it going to replace my sig 229 as my EDC? No chance. But for plinking and target practice not bad.

Had to double check, you're in AZ. Those aren't available in MD.

They have a poor rep from back in the day. They jammed a LOT. Jimenez, Hi-Point, and a couple of others made cheap pot metal pistols and tended to not last very long.

Sorry bro they are crap!! As I recall its a branch off raven or lorcin (I think they might all actually be combined after the brothers or dad got to fighting) It's the criminals gun of choice and I've personally seen 3-4 in the hands of dead guys with a stove pipe (usually its the smaller caliber models).

As a plinker hey for the price why not but as you said you dont want switch up for EDC and I beg you to adhere to that.

Very well known here in NC as the "JAM-in-ez".

We don't have the handgun roster here, so everything and anything is available.

I have owned two Hi Points and would buy another. I would not buy a Jimenez.

Im not arguing anything here or trying to make a sale. Just my experience from an hour in the desert with it. I have well north of 100 pistols. I bought this simply because i didnt have one in my safes.

A lot of my collection is of polish pistols and c&r type pistols. Variants on models and such. Modern stuff maybe 30 -40. So actually quite a boring collection.

I'm of the opposite POV. New is boring. C&R and antique holds my interest and attention.

I mean to the un initiated looking at multiples of "the same " pistol may be boring. I agree. When I go to a gunshow/shop I look almost exclusively at "that old junk".

I love that stuff. Don't worry I'm a wheel gun guy. Most people would rather see something that's on call of duty then a classic hard working never fail design.
