Very good. I was also not raised to call people by the name Sayfool.
Now, see........ you're slipping.
In true Southern Maryland (o.k. "Suthern Merlun") fashion, that would actually be "Sayfoo"!

HELLO PINECONE... YOU AWAKE YET ?
I never said that a retailer did not charge the fee. Where you got that I have no idea. I said Between $15.00 and $27.50 You now seem to be making up replies no one else can see. I now allow you one more post count addition.
I feel sorry for anyone who falls for that $27.50 HazMat fee I have seen on another internet retailers site. I laughed and moved on from that site.
Hazardous Materials
For FedEx Ground U.S. services, the surcharge for packages containing hazardous materials increased from $25 per package to $27.50 per package.
You stated that people "fall for" the HazMat fee, implying that you did not need to pay it or that much.
Link to UPS fees: http://ltl.upsfreight.com/shipping/instructions/index.aspx?p=SPCFEE
UPS charges $25 per shipment for HazMat packages.
From FedEx site:
If a retailer is charging less than $25 to ship you powder and/or primers, they are making up the difference somewhere else.
If you need to transfer drive a little further on 301 to White Plains and got to All Pawn. $35 for transfer fee and I think they give it to Mil/LEO for $25. Also, they seem to want to sell product and make money....always courteous! Service is good and they are carrying new weapons...Like Daniel Defense, DPMS, Colt, they have 308 AR in and have a decent selection of glocks/springfields in stock. And check this out...if they don't have it they will usually tell you where you might find it locally...Now that's customer service.....Freds sucks! Point blank. If you think that his prices aren't high then you never shop anywhere else. I have bought 2 small things through there and they were still overpriced. I would rather pay shipping and handling then pay his mark up!!!!!
I SAID... "I feel sorry for anyone who falls for that $27.50 HazMat fee"
I have seen HazMat fees between $14.00 and $27.50. Yes you are correct, in part, by your last statement being, "If a retailer is charging less than $25 to ship you powder and/or primers, they are making up the difference somewhere else."
The point I am trying to make, to you almost directly now, is that if you are paying $27.50 then you are the Sucker-Of-The-Day and yes you are Falling for it. I just hate seeing guys get taken by un-honest shipping fees. So, I bring up the subject, and point out the things others might not be paying attention to, in hopes of saving them some money.
Another point to be made is, if YOU state that HazMat fee is $25.00 then you're backing up my claim that retailers are not charging what they should be charging honestly. Thanks for that.
I appreciate your UPS research ( been there done that 1000 times already ) and you do understand my point. You just have not figured out that you understand it yet. No harm. No foul. We can do coffee together anyday. My treat.
Now, what in the hell was this thread about... again ?
Sorry, you obviously did not read my entire post.
HazMat fees are $25 TO $27.50 depending on the shipper (FedEx versus UPS) and what material.
And if a retailer is making up the difference elsewhere, you are actually paying extra if you order reasonably large amounts. A retailer is NOT eating $10 per shipment.
So if you have these "good" retailers that have stock, are selling for non-gouging prices, and only charging $14 for hazmat fees and reasonable shipping charges, WHY NOT SHARE THEM? Give names and links.
