Clear sunny skies with just a little wind allowed the Hooligans to try out the new toys and various reloads.

Our usual thread starter (j8064) is down South freezing his butt off in some cold water, so we had a new fill in starter.

Wagtail unvield his new Tavor rifle. He was able to snatch one up pretty quick. The first pic below is him showing it off.

We had some friends from downstate join us today as well. engineerbrian, an old friend, and stu929 made it up.

Brian a big thanks for the Torso target! That thing looks great, and we will put it to use for sure!

I also got reunited with my old twin brother (pic 2) chevellenut71 you smart ass... I'll remember that one. We all got a laugh from that. By the way Italians dont carry AK's, lol.

    Here are some pics:

It was great to get out and meet some new people. Weather was perfect! Got to try out some new toys and get my rescued bolt guns sighted in.

4570's target with my Kimber and some fairly cheap ammo... Not sure what he was doing? Aren't they all supposed to the in the same hole? :) Great Shooting!

Are those coats and jackets you brother Hooligans are wearing? WTF? You mean we're down here at the beach in cold, windy and rainy weather when we coulda stayed home and at least had cold sunshine?

Looks like I missed a real good time!

Funny you say that. I was just ranting this morning, about how I cant wait until, its warm enough to show up to the range in just a Tee, and no sweats or coats :sad20:

That being said it still doesn't stop Mooseman from doing so :lol2:

Its wasnt overly cold, but the wind made it worse.

I also got my Earl Shieb on, and gave the torso target some color. It should be easy to see sights on it from pretty far away.

Brian, you did a really nice job cutting that thing... it came out great!

I need to devise a way to hang it now.

    Here is "Bubba 2" !

I had a great time today! no pics though, the battery was dead in the camera.

I think wagtails Tavor stole the show. Man, what a sweat gun! Roccos new 45 LC came in a close second though. I didn't get the memo about the military theme, I left them all at home... oh well next time.

Oh, FWIW the last torso target I had could handle up to 10mm before it became ventilated, so all of the 45 ACP rounds you guys shoot should be good to go

As usual, it was a great day shooting with the Hooligans. It was nice to have engineerbrian and stu929 join us from down east. Hooli always enjoys fresh meat. I was also nice to have Roc's twin join us. Wagtails new Tavor was well received by the Hooligans.

Since our resident thread starter / photographer, j8064 was not here today, I had to pick up some of the slack. Joe, you were missed by the Hooligans and especially Hooli. Don't listen to the rest of the Hooligans, it was plenty warm at the range today. As you can see in the photos, one of the Hooligans was so excited about getting to shoot the Tavor, he wet himself. Also, I like Roc's new body armor.

I missed a great Hooligan shoot and instead endured cold wet weather on the beach in South Carolina in a hotel where the internet is slower than 1995 connections? Not a good plan...
    :sad20:

Mrs. J booked flights home heading out tomorrow. ;)

Hey guys wish I could have made it to this one.

Wagtail good to see you picked up that Tavor and saved me some coin. I saw it in the shop and passed due to not knowing much about that particular rifle. Now that I have done some research I may try to find one before they are banned.

Maybe I can make the next shoot.

Guy's I'm sorry, but your photos solidified, why I will never go to a public range. I'm sure you guys are responsible gun owners, but why are there shooters in front of the firing line? Numerous photos show subjects beyond the muzzle of active shooters. If me being a jerk saves one of your lives, then it was worth it. We can't afford to give the gun grabbers in Annapolis and DC any more reasons to take our freedoms.

ten75ice, the firing line is the end of the concrete, not the benches. We are all experienced and safe shooters. We would not violate safety rules. We know where the firing line is.
