They are accused of breaking the law regardless of motive. The people who refuse to register will also be charged with breaking a law regardless of motive. As of right now we don't know the motive of the mag salesmen. Perhaps the stupid magazine law was just their "line in the sand". I just think some here may be too quick to throw them under the bus. Not trying to call any one out here, just trying to present a different side.

regardless if we think the law is dumb, its still the law

I personally know the seller, he is a good guy, and the mag in question was a 10/22 mag limited to twenty rounds, they don't hold 21.

I don't think the case will even make it to court, as it seems that the state made a few mistakes in the arrest.

Its a dog and pony show, if this case was clear cut it would have made national news.

Yup. He was back at howard county gun show. He was burned at the stake many times. First, never believe what you hear in the news. Second, we are all innocent until proven guilty.

That's fine and dandy but I've seen 30 round AR mags out on his table for sale at a previous gun show..my son picked up on it as we walked by...do that and you are just looking to get arrested.....he may be a good guy but not a very smart one......

And this happened last weekend, but it takes until the day the president announces his anti-gun ownership actions to write and publish this article?? WBAL wouldn't be too biased or trying to jump on the bandwagon - would they??

This just illustrates that the law "works" when enforced. And a person familiar with firearms (AR type) that can not tell the difference between a 20 round mag and a 30 round mag due to physical size should not be buying magazines. If the 30 round mag has been modified with a physical alteration that permanently limits it to 20 rds, then, in my opinion it could be 12 inches in length and still legal.

Actually what you saw was 20 round 7.62x39 mags for an AR
They look just like 30 rnd 223 mags.

The arrest was based on a 10/22 mag that only held 20.

Anyhow people will continue to bash this guy who know nothing of the incident so "flame away" .....

I don't know what you call "burned at the stake" but the promoter is backing him up. The other vendors do as well. They know it was to create media hype, it did not pan out as expected. It was all a dog and pony show from the start.

He was burned at the stake by people in this thread. Most jumped to conclusions that he was guilty. No trial, no facts. I don't know him from Adam. But I do know the news and how it is reported. And I know in my heart that everything they say is complete lie. Be it direct or by omission. Intentional or through ignorance.

I agree with your statement. Most people on this site want to throw blame and spread the libtard medias view, I misunderstood your post.

How does the law handle magazines already in Maryland and someone wants to sell either their weapon with this capacity or the magazine by itself?
