Thinking of a P226. With the many variations of this gun, what would you choose? The Elite and Mastershop look very nice.

the elite looks great but id stick with the classic blued version for a p226 but if i wanted a a p220 id get a stainless elite.

I have a 226 Blackwater.....love it. But. They don't make it any more. I would recommend you try the Scorpion or the MK25.

Any P-226 will serve you well as it's one of the best platforms out there. Now it's just what you like. I have a 1992 German standard, X5 Comp and an Enhanced Elite coming. Chris

    There isn't a bad one :)

If you are considering the stainless models from the mastershop I recommend handling an elite stainless first (easier to find in a shop then a mastershop series). They run about 30% heavier then the other models, the MK25 for example is a coated stainless slide with an anodized aluminum frame vs. elite stainless which is all stainless steel.

Not to mention that some of the mastershop series pistols are 1-2" longer.

They're all great guns. Decide on the features you like best and buy that one. I have a 229 Stainless Elite and a 220 Match Elite. I enjoy them both. I'm sure the 226 in that configuration would be equally good. You really won't make a mistake on any one of them. Good luck.

The 9mm Equinox is supposed to be coming out early 2013. I'm getting one.

Im really liking my mk25. ? No SRT. Didntblike the pistol when I first bought it. I was all over the plsce with it, wasnt used to modifying my hand grip. Im used to glocks. Once I learned how to shoot it, extremely happy with it. Next purchase will be a 229 with SRT.
