Maybe I'll see you at the class. I need to get a Utah permit, and the Glen Burnie class will suit my needs perfectly. I like the fact they take your pic, do the prints and mail it off for you. Can't be beat.

    Thanks.

I forgot to say it was at the Maryland Shall Issue meeting yesterday. I was thinking of a Florida permit, but this will do just fine. :D

When you take Perrin's class have your apps with you including des collector or curio relic because his classes are a one stop shop with notary and prints where paper ones are accepted.

There's still a $51 fee I need for the actual permit...but it looks like a great deal free of not.

ETA: Look forward to seeing you again, teratos.
    ETA..again: I changed the $55 to $51.

The drawing was rigged! I demand justice! ;)

Congrats to Bikebreath and the other gentleman who won the drawing, and a huge thank you to Mdeng for donating the certificate.

You know we can go to the range and you can get both permits. No extra charge. We may be able to work out some of the problem we were discussing.

I'm leaning toward the VA permit. Besides, I realized I have had the PPOTH, so I'm good...thanks.

Go ahead and take the Utah class anyway. It's good training in addition to the PPOTH. It really is good to take multiple overlapping courses, especially with different instructors. It's also good to take refreshers periodically. That's why I took PPOTH recently. Frankly, I wouldn't mind repeating the Utah course with a different instructor, even though I already have the permit. I'm sure I would benefit from the experience.

Also, the Utah course gives you another certificate. It's not just a piece of paper, it is another credential.

Personally, I want to collect lots of training certificates. They help establish my Bona Fides. They strengthen my argument that I'm not some trigger-happy Yahoo Cowboy. My lawyer can use them in my defense at my trial...

For only $51 more, you get extra overlapping coverage, too. And the Utah permit has a nice cheerful red stripe across the top. It'll look nice in your wallet along side the one with the yellow stripe.

i agree on what you said.. having too many certificate doesnt hurt but helps you in the long run.

Bikebreath, I see you were addressing Mdeng's offer to certify you for live fire, rather than saying you didn't intend to go for the Utah permit.
I know you have all the credentials you need, and more, for both Virginia and Florida.

Congratulations, you won a good course put on by good folks!

I won a course from another IP last year. (They ended up not running the course but it's still cool to win once in a while.)
