I bought a used remington 1100 from one of my friends. According to this website http://armscollectors.com/sn/remdates.php
The 2 letters in the code (KT) means that it was manufactured May of 1926 or 1970. I'm pretty sure its not a 1926. The whole thing has lots of nice engraving on it, including the bolt which they have stopped doing. It accepts 3"magnums which is hard to find in this older model. It also has a nice finish to the wood. The gun is in very good shape for its age. There is no rust or pits anywhere on this gun, all original parts. It shoots great too. I'll have some pix up later :-)
