Did he attend a shoveler safety class and get a shovel stamp for his permit? If not, he should be arrested poaching.

Seriously. I didn't spend four days taking a weed whacker hunting class so some Joe Blow could just hunt deer whenever he felt like it. Do you guys know what a pain it is to report every dandelion and ragweed that I take to the DNR? Last year, I even got fined for chopping down a rare stain of crabgrass.

cheer up everyone, this just means that rake season is right around the corner...be sure to hit the hardware store as soon as possible. The non-toxic metal rakes sell out quick and you cant use plastic anytmore

If a deer jumps into my workshop, it will find dead deer parts other than itself. My XD is always on hand as well, though I take it off and stash it when working, so I'd have to get to it first. I wonder if DNR would fine me for hunting deer in my workshop with a non approved modern handgun in a no rifle for deer county? Does the castle doctrine law apply here?

I shouldn't worry so much about a deer breaking into my workshop, they seem to hang out in thickets and down the hill, try to run my mother over on the stairs leading to the poultry yard, and snort wheeze and grunt at my mother while she is gardening in mid nov. See that's the key right there- keep my mother out of my workshop, since she seems to attract deer.

Can I borrow your mother in late November? Does she mind standing in a field in Western Maryland in the pre-dawn hours?
