Two problems, one, he was in MA and second, the bad guys weren't in the house when he fired. If he was in TX, the cops probably would have bought him more ammo.

The article doesn't mention IF the creeps were charged or not.

The fact that they came back for a second round and escalated the situation by throw a rock through the guys window and stuck around long enough for an 82 y/o man to get his weapon and shoot both of them, he could resonably claim to be in fear of of his life as they could have come back again.

Thats kind of what I was thinking. However, given his age and the likelihood of him being able to defend himself against people 40 yrs his junior (although, I'm sure he would disagree), it is absurd. Some people simply can't wait for the threat to be directly upon them to react. Just my two cents, I guess.

"Dicino pleaded not guilty to two counts of armed assault with intent to murder"

He's a Korean War Vet. If he wanted them dead, I'm sure they would be.

What do you expect, they are even trying to ban/register knives in Boston. Massachusetts is as close to the UK as you can get here in America aside from maybe NYC or Chicago.:sad20:

He really meant, “Get off my lawn.” One warning should be enough. Respect your elders and you will not get shot.

If Massachusetts was as concerned with protecting the law abiding as the criminals this would not have happened. FWIW Revere is an old school working class Italian neighborhood. I highly doubt this guy is going to have the money to mount a serious defense.:sad20:
