this was my first time and I was nervous. I bumbled through my first attempt. After a while, I saw that everyone was making points I would have made, so I decided not to add to the already long day. I stayed till the last just to find that the final proposed bill had changed into something else. It was a good experience.

I'll say one thing, it was nice the way they did one bill at a time supporting testimony, and then opposing testimony. This way we actually had an audience of the committee unlike in the Senate where Paul & the others end up giving testimony to an empty room.

Paul, if I ever see you out anywhere you drink for free my friend. That was a spectacular performance today.

It was also nice to see Ben Kelke (NRA Master Training Counselor) there speaking from the heart. He did a fine job too.

Thanks a lot to all those who went and stood up for our rights! The community owes you a great debt of gratitude and of course free beer (or beverage of your choice).

WOW, Very impressive. I sat here tonight and watched this whole video. I am impressed with all those who spoke, no one was pushy or insulting, and represented gun owners very well. It appears everyone was prepaired and spoke well (at least on our side. Can't say that for some of the "anti" side)

    Job well done.

Voicing my support. Will show it by joining MSI. Thanks to the dedication of willing men, we may yet have our voices heard.

I've actually been pretty impressed with the common sense that is coming out of most of the delegates...

Not a lot of rhetoric from the committee.....Clippinger aside.

Why do some folks feel the need to scream...jeez.

Just heard a new one. "Domestic gun based terrorism"

He was calm this time. At the Senate hearings he was much more off the hook.

Delegate Tiffany Alston from PG County.

She's a VERY smart woman and her question on prosecutorial discretion regarding HB252 was outstanding.

Very sharp indeed. She is nobody's fool.

    You did fine. Nice suit.

Nervous is one thing, but my searing fear is a damn nuisance!

I was in a maroon shirt, maroon and black tie...bald with a gray/white beard. Really, you did a fine job...thanks.

Who would become Judiciary chair if Vallario was ditched? Isn't it decided by seniority?

    Not necessarily by seniority.

The scuttlebutt is that the short list of contenders for the throne are Dumais, Rosenberg and Simmons. Of those three, you should pray that it's Simmons.

What happens to the bills from here? What's the usual timeline?

HB 730 was radically changed yesterday. It seems to me like putting together a Task Force, and coming up with new Mental Heath language and definitions could take months, or even years, or never. I think the last speaker was correct yesterday when he said "now that HB-730 its being reworked, it's hard to support it or oppose it, when you don't know what's in it, the bill should be tabled." What do you think will happen to HB-730?

    Thanks in advance,

    Craig

An update will be out later today or tomorrow morning.

Nothing pressing will happen this week, in all likelihood.

    What happened with HB730??

It will be amended to remove some of the most offensive language as well as to change it from a bill to enact a law to being a bill to authorize a task force to study the issue.
