    Details

The perfect brush gun setup for Maryland/Pennsylvania deer hunting in .30-06. Rifle is equipped with a vintage Western Field 3-9x33mm scope, complete with leather lens caps and Realist scope mounts. The mounts allow the scope to be removed and reinstalled and still be zeroed. The maneuverable 19" barrel has Williams sights that are fully adjustable for windage and elevation. An adjustable leather sling(GI type) is also included.

Rifle appears to be an FN-built Queen Wilhelmina or Queen Juliana Model 48 carbine, built for the Dutch State and Municipal Police forces and Amsterdam Police force. The carbines were made between 1947 and 1956, depending on who they were made for, and is C&R eligible since it was sold in this configuration in the US market and is over 50 years old. There is a very faint remnant of the Dutch crest under the front scope mount. It has no import stamp, either.

The bolt cocking lugs have been polished to make opening it after firing easier. The trigger is smooth, crisp, and predictable. It is still a Mauser trigger, so it has a long 2-stage pull that is not light, but it is better than most. I have fired this rifle and it shoots well.

The metal is in excellent condition, barrel is pristine, and the stock(with recoil pad) was recently refinished using Tru-Oil, making this a beautiful blonde with a desire to hang it in the woods with someone that will appreciate her.

The scope has a few dings and dents on it, but the glass is clear, the crosshairs are very fine and do not obstruct the target. These were made in Japan, are very good quality, and reliable. It is more than adequate for hunting.

All applicable legal requirements for transfer will apply and buyer pays all fees. Shipping to C&R outside of Marylandistan at additional cost to be determined after deal is pending.

Cash only, not interested in any trades at this time. $550 OBO

I'd take you up on this if it was actually in 7mm Mauser rather than 30-06.
