Bushmaster xm15-e2s Mil spec or commercial Buffer tube???
hey guys I just got the Bushmaster m4a3 model xm15-e2s. I want to put a magpul ctr stock on it but dont know if I have a mil spec or commerical buffer tube. Anyone know which I have? I looked in the manual that came with the rifle but couldnt find any relevant info.

Slide your current T-6 stock off the tube and look at the end of it. If it is slanted forward then its a commercial tube. If the end is 90 deg. square to itself then it is a mil-spec model. Its most likely mil-spec diameter.

Id check to be sure cause mine were commercial. I would just order the mil spec tube/heavy buffer from spikes and the stock from botach or where you found the best price.

All of the Bushmasters I have seen have commercial buffer tubes on them.

i also have a Bushmaster xm15-e2s ... i can confirm in fact that it has a commercials buffer tube ... i found out only after having purchased a mil-spec magpul moe buttstock from brownells

commercial tube is of a thicker wall material, correct?
