Female instructors in MD?

I'm looking to get my fiance a session or two with an instructor, she understands the basics of shooting but I've heard that I should not be the one to teach her and was thinking a female trainer would be less intimidating. Anyone have any leads, contact info or a better place to ask? thanks for any help.

Welcome

what part of the Republik do you live?

I think Horst McCann and Continental Arms has female instructors.

I don't know what your woman's interests are, and this isn't in MD, but someone may find it useful. It is of average cost for this level of instruction, but they do tend to take place far away from MD. The closest one this year is in Florida.

From what I hear, this is THE class for lady shooters interested in practical shooting, with or without the competition aspect to it. All the instructors are world class, and I've met Kay. She is a very nice lady.

First off , good for you for getting training for her. Some people sometimes can teach some S.O.s, but that's a lot od variables in a row.
A good instructor w/o their head up their butt, who is adept at teaching new shooters can teach male ,female shooters equally .
From highly experienced instructors I understand that it "sometimes" can be more of an issue with "some" female student not being at ease with fellow students. One on one training would make a non issue.

I've noticed that female shooters have a higher rate of those who are more difficult to "reach" than males, but that is part of my job satisfaction: being able to get through to shooters who are having problems. I feel a high like no other when I'm able to "flip the switch" on someone.
