Mosquito recoil spring....
Was wondering if anyone knew if there was a lighter recoil spring for the SIG Mosquito? Firing subsonics with a can attached and some of the lighter stuff is no cycling right.
Thanks, Dave |

Yeah - there are two springs available - beleive it comes with the stiffer one. You shud be able to get the lighter spring on the SIG site or a SIG dealer may have one.

Yeah I went to SIG store. Looks like they have a High Velocity Recoil Spring and Standard Recoil Spring.
Which one is pre-installed on the Mosquito? They are only $12 for set of 3. Will look at getting a set of each and playing around and see what happens. Dave |

Not sure which is installed from the factory as I got mine used. But I DO know tha the "white" spring is the lighter spring. It's not really white, but I think you will see the difference. Make sure the narrower end goes in first (should be closer to the breech). You can check the Sig forums to double check me on which way the narrow end goes.
My gun won't cycle anything with the heavy, darker spring. All I have ever used was the light one and there is no slide slapping. Splitter |
