    I just don't see the point, sorry, not a long range rifle guy.

    Does there ever have to be? :D

    For me, it's about caliber options, without adding something new.

    The 30-06 and 270 winchester, especially the 270 is extremely attractive in a magazine fed AR platform.

    One is no longer limited to the AR-15 or AR-10 formats.

    I saw it at the FFL that Indigoes referenced earlier in the post.
    It looks nice but so did the price tag. I dont know if to go this route or stay with going .308 first, then something like this.

    I think I'll stick with the 308 too! But knowing me I probably will be buying one once I've read a few reviews. Could be the excuse to buy another safe.

    I would love to own one, just to own one. But I have a 556, and figured .308 would be my next purchase. I don't want to rule out the purchase of a 30-06. if money was not an issue it really would not matter and I would buy both.
