I just don't see the point, sorry, not a long range rifle guy. Isn't an AR10 fit the purpose better? Hunting ammo in an AR like platform. No?

If compared to a bolt gun, the AR10 is a short action... This puppy is a long action...

Does there ever have to be?

For me, it's about caliber options, without adding something new.

The 30-06 and 270 winchester, especially the 270 is extremely attractive in a magazine fed AR platform.

One is no longer limited to the AR-15 or AR-10 formats.

Bob's Sunoco has one. Looks pretty nice. From what I understand you have to dial them in a little for your ammo. It has an adjustable has system.

why would it matter? you're in colorado springs, according to your location field.

regardless, yes it is. it's not an ar-15, nor is it a copycat.

Yes it is. It can be yours that day.

I saw it at the FFL that Indigoes referenced earlier in the post.
It looks nice but so did the price tag. I dont know if to go this route or stay with going .308 first, then something like this.

I think I'll stick with the 308 too! But knowing me I probably will be buying one once I've read a few reviews. Could be the excuse to buy another safe.

I would love to own one, just to own one. But I have a 556, and figured .308 would be my next purchase. I don't want to rule out the purchase of a 30-06. if money was not an issue it really would not matter and I would buy both.
