Question 16" AR-15 w/ Collapsible Stock <---------- Is it legal in MD?

I thought as long as it had a 16" barrel, but I RainerArms.com as I was placing the order (and told them to remove the 30rd mag) and they said they weren't sure either.

Sorry guys I know I should KNOW KNOW this before ordering ....

anything under 16" is "legal" it just requires an xtra $200 tax stamp. google short barreled rifles

so this would be NFA? since it can collapse and is not fixed? It has a 16" barrel

As long as the barrel is 16 inches you are good to go.

16" barrel or greater is fine. anything less is NFA. Stock, collapsible or not is legal

Legal. The rifle has to have a 16 inch barrel or greater and be at least 26 inches overall length. That means if it is 26 inches with the folding or collapsible stock extended and has a sixteen inch barrel, then it is just like any other rifle as far as the federal government is concerned.
