I am likely sending it back. My description of a "crown" was originally referring to a chamfer. I have been told that some of the barrels on the MVPs have had a chamfer and some have not. I am going to go back to the shop I bough it from and have them send it back requesting a new barrel/repair and chamfer.

Those TacOps crowns are interesting, they chamfered at quite a steep angle.

Most accuracy crowns are 11 degrees from the rifling out a ways.

It works. I don't know specifics, nor do I care to bother Mike about it, but it works and it works very well. They are great rifles. I would have removed the thread protector for the picture but they're on too tight. I'd have to run some rounds through the barrel to get some heat in it if I wanted to easily remove them. I don't have a can for these rifles (yet, it's ordered) so I never wanted the thread protectors to come off.

I dont believe it matters much at what angle the crown is cut, just that it is cut completely even all the way around.

looks like the barrel was just cut and not reamed....I can see little pieces of copper on the lands...prob from the ammo you shot...

we bought a new rifle and the muzzle break looked like it was cross threaded..the bullet kept hitting the bottom piece of it...which caused a high and left shooting...we took it back to the store we bought it at and they exchanged it no problems.
