Hi all,
Forgive any ignorance I convey, please. I have no SBRs or anything else NFA related.
I would like a Sig 556 SBR. I am set on that. There are several ways to get one, and the version I was leaning toward was buying a Sig 556 pistol, sending off paperwork to ATF, getting it engraved, and once stamp arrives, swap lowers with a standard 556 and voila, 556 SBR.
My question is: does SB 281 impact here in any way? As long as I have the 556 pistol in time, am I good to go, so to speak, to SBR it post-Oct 1?
Any advice appreciated (except if you tell me to SBR an AR). Thanks!
