Once I used these, it was all downhill from there.

Family. On my 5th birthday I was old enough to bring meat home...and did. In high school, I learned a few more things from a retired Sergeant Major who once upon a time learned from a certain Leatherneck named Ed Land. Unfortunately, I had forgotten most of the good stuff and had to re-learn it over the past few years.

I learned the vast majority of my rifle skills from my Uncle. He was a Marine and was also taught by his father. My Stepdad was a sniper for the Ohio DOC. He taught me how to use a scope. The first time I shot a three round group that touched at 100 yds was quite amazing to me.
Then I joined the Air Force. I didn't target shoot hardly at all till I moved to MD. We qualify on M16 or M4 either every 28 months or before we deploy. Other career fields qualify more often. Our class is an overview of the weapon, then we zero and fire at simulated range targets at 25 yds from prone supported, unsupported, kneeling, over a barricade, and prone while wearing a gas mask. This last time in Pre-deployment training we shot at pop up targets out to 300 yds. So before I moved here I was a tad bit rusty. Gotta love the Chair Force.LOL
