The same reas our S of S used a private non governmental email address in her correspondence and figured no one would notice until the Cogrress started investigating Benghazi.

I really don't get how she could have set up her own private little fiefdom.

Where I work we have ISO, security, non-disclosure and all sorts of things that would preclude our customers, partners and company departments from communicating with a private email account or external server system.

Some of these requirements are mandated by the federal government. And I'm not talking totally about security required by military contracts. We have requirements for archiving email so that we can show we are in compliance with employment & workplace standards (e.g. being able to prove no protected class is being discriminated against, that no one is being bullied etc...).

We can be audited at any time AFAIK and we must have records available. Oh and we don't get to "scrub" them, so to speak, and then tell federal agencies we're A-OK.

Geesh. What she did makes me furious. We get to live with all the regs but she doesn't?

So she's royalty I guess. I sometimes wonder if having a King would really be so bad.:sarcasm:

    6ABC.com -
Porn scandal: Kathleen Kane keeps releasing raunchy emails

On Oct. 1, as she left court in the leak case, she dropped another bombshell: The email scandal also involved U.S. attorneys, attorneys general and a Supreme Court justice who had voted along with the rest of the court just days earlier to suspend Kane's law license. That justice is now being investigated for possible judicial misconduct.

The tangled scandal has led to the downfall of a state environmental secretary and shamed a state police commissioner, a Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice and several former top officials in the attorney general's office. Another high-court justice resigned after newspapers disclosed his involvement.

Kane has threatened to release more, and the state Capitol is ablaze with speculation about whose emails may be next in the drip-drip-drip of disclosures.

Last week, Kane's hometown newspaper, the Times-Tribune of Scranton, ran a Halloween-theme cartoon of her as a witch saying: "I'll get you my pretties ... and your filthy emails too."

Drip drip drip indeed. Sleaze knows no bounds, on either side of the issue. She'll never eat lunch in that town again. Forty-nine years old, disbarred, burned every bridge she could reach.

The remaining question is how much of the PA governmental superstructure she will take down with her.

Never thought of PA as a center of sleaze. But Philadelphia Catholic Church abuse and financial scandals, Sandusky/Penn State abuse scandal, now this. Surprised.

Surprised? Yes. Can't recall where I read it, but PA was rated the 9th most corrupt state in America.

After living here for 10 years I have absolutely no doubt that this is, or was, accurate. And I've seen no changes yet for the better.

I think illinoise ( obama, u.s. grant, and lincoln were from) was #1

I think its more philly that gets PA that rep just like if you could sell philly to new jersey pa would be a red state. Now in fairness part of the reason most of the rest of PA would be a red state is the other people see what is going on in philly when some are left to their own devices.

Wow, so Dougie Gansler is coming aboard to out the sleazebags? Why does that sound so ironic?

The good part is that those he attacks will have a nice opportunity to return the favor. Mud-slinging naked lawyers! How much for a ticket?

I anticipate some type of law being passed in PA to prevent release of e-mails without third party consent. Not sure how that's gonna work or if these politicians can think of some other crazy protection scheme.

Similar reasons for the wire-tap laws in MD. Too many powerful people taking a hit...

Same reason the idiot democrats (sorry, I repeat myself), voted it to be illegal to divulge the identities of concealed carry holders. They didn't want themselves outed, including our old friend Vinnie the weasel.
