I've searched and searched, but can't find the answer to this. Thankfully, I know just where to ask... HERE!

If someone could please help me, I'd appreciate it. I'm in the process of buying a full-auto NFA regulated firearm that includes some high capacity magazines. Can those mags still be transferred to me as part of it being an NFA purchase or are all transfers of high capacity magazines banned regardless of what their host is? I'm thinking it might be allowed, just as full auto M-16s are still allowed in spite of the ban on regular assault weapons.

    Thank you,

    Los

Have the gun shipped to your dealer. Have the mags broken down into parts and shipped to you. To stay 100% legal, assemble out of state.

I'm assuming you can still buy M-16s, right? I hope so, since I've got a couple in route! Doesn't that conflict with the current law?

No conflict at all; M-16s are good to go. SB281 banned certain semi automatic rifles, not full auto.

So I guess it would be illegal to convert these to dangerous, semi-auto only assault rifles. Better play is safe and keep them select fire!
