I've got an earlier Gamo in .177 and like it. It's pretty loud though (not a model with a dampener). Gets the job done though. Wonder if a suppressed .22 is quieter...

My suppressed bolt 22 is quieter that my Gamo Big cat. Don't know about the Silent cat or the Whisper model.

What's the range on these things?
    Drop at 100 yds?
If a neighbor house was 250 yds away, would the pellet carry that far?
How much penetration at 110 yds?

And is this model quieter than a suppressed 22?

I was looking at that one in Cabelas in DE. First thing the salesman asked me was what state was I from. I said MD, he said good because with the silencer it's a no-go in NJ.

I have this one, I paid more for it. I like it but it isnt truely broken in yet. if I had more $ id have purchased a rws or clone.

I got a patch stuck in the supressor when cleaning it. it took me forever to get it out.

I've got this one also and paid more. MV is 960 with Gamo Red Fire pellets. Very accurate out at 25-35 yards which is as far as I've practiced with it.

How silent is a Silent Cat supposed to be? Picked one up the other day and it seemed to be pretty darn loud.

My Pop's takes a 100+ squirrels a year with the silent cat from his back porch and he lives in a cookie cutter neighborhood. He says the trick is he only shoots at two 5' zones that have the right sound attentuation on the fence. He just waits. From a different generation though.
