    I wouldn't expect volunteers from one branch of NRA to be up to speed on the others. You probably talked to PVF guys, whereas the ILA folks would be all over it.

    For sure if Shannon Alford or any of the other NRA-ILA staff were there, it would have been a totally different conversation.

    No offense to the membership folks, but many of them are volunteers.

    It's called 'shading the conversation'. Any 'good' (or not-so-ethical) journalist knows their sources and their audience well enough to ask the right question of the right people to get the 'right' answer.
