Remembering Madison as I wait...and wait.

Applied 1/11. DHMH 1/12. Nothing as of 2/7. EMDSP site has been offline since 2/5, so we can't check our status. Based on the timelines in this post this could be the week I go active. Standing by, arms crossed, tapping foot, and grimacing as I wonder how James Madison would feel about the way things turned out.

According to this Wikipedia link, Madison initially questioned whether a Bill of Rights was needed. He dismissed the anti-federalists who feared the new Federal government might one day disarm the State militias.

I'm grateful Madison eventually saw the need for our 2nd amendment. I think we all know where we'd be without it.

I applied last Fall and it took a good three weeks for any of the checks to be made. Probably ~4 weeks from online submission to having the card in my wallet.

From 11/21/2015 - 12/30/2015, HQL went active on 12/21/2015 and card received 12/30/2015

I am going to pray that by the end of the week they approve mine.

They havn't called or emailed me about any issues, so I can assume I am not being denied or I didn't fill out anything incorrectly?

I also applied on 1/11 but just checked and still shows Pending.

Hopefully not too much longer

I think there should be a poll on the average amount of times a day people log on to Maryland State Polices website to check the status lol.

I applied on 1/12, went active 2/9. Awaiting card also.
Pushing the 30 day wait time.. I checked everyday twice a day!

I think I checked at least 10 times a day :lol:

I also applied on the 12th, but haven't been approved yet. Just my application fee and DHMH is approved. Was everything else approved today for you, or was it gradual?

For those who are checking daily, save yourself the grief and wait to check until day 25--that's the going rate as of Feb 2016.

What is it about this process that brings out the OCD in some of us?
