Got my signed forms back from MSP yesterday. 5 weeks to the day from dropoff.

Submitted Form 4 Ind. on Aug. 26 and received approved forms today Sept. 6.

Not too bad of a wait.

Do you think the time frames are the same for form 1's? Id assume they are but none of this stuff makes any sense.

My latest Form 4 (non trust) came back from the MSP after 2.5 calendar weeks.

I just got forms back dropped off in mid August. They seem to do them in batches. Mine was stamped the day after I dropped it off but not returned until Saturday. I guess they get the background check results, stamp it and then it goes to a trooper's desk.

10 days is certainly better than the 4 months mine took. Maybe they got more staffing.

Maybe using the extra people from handgun paperwork review, since handgun sales are down.

Update. 10 weeks for MSP. dropped off 22 Sept got it back 4 Dec. It was stamped 8 Oct so I guess it sat for close to 2 months.

I am in the same boat. September application, but mine still isn't back yet. I was told it is with a trooper and that it could be another 4-8 weeks before its mailed back.

Just got mine back after 7.5 weeks. Spoke to MSP last week and was told that they have multiple troopers signing off on forms now. Some are obviously slower than others. I guess wait times depend on which troopers desk your forms end up on.
