So since i lucked into a great deal on a desert eagle .50 around Mid feb, I had to get my HQL. Once i busted the cherry, ive been on a non stop buying spree since issued my HQL 3/3/15. Didnt plan it that way but Im kinda out of room for long guns anyway, so pistols fit a little better. Here are some of the pistols ive bought since. I shot a few of them the other day but haven't shot all of them yet. Ill try to give a few notes. and also If Todbiker or Lost Soul want to they are encouraged to give their comments on them as i let them also play with them.

    First Up
    Desert Eagle .50 AE

I was really worried about shooting it, heard so many stories about folks knocking their noggins and Last year I had torn my wrist and had to have Surgery, so i made sure to take a wrist brace with me to be on the safe side.. gotta say, I love this freaking thing!! Its expensive to feed, average about 1.50 a round buying them, but Damn fun gun to shoot. Leaves a great big smile on your face. Not no where near as bad as i expected!! Was WELL worth the Used mini 14 and 100.00 cash i traded for it!! Big Thanks to MrBig381 for helping the deal go smooth.

Looks like a ray gun, I haven't shot it yet, but picked it up say day as the Desert eagle. Very light weight, and im thinking should be good shooter.
I will give some notes once we try it out..

I havent had the chance to get this one out to the range yet, but i really cant wait to do so. Ive wanted one for a while and got this one at a pretty decent price compared to what they go for. The blue is great and im super happy with condition.

Smith and Wesson 439, earlier model, 9mm .

mixed reviews from the shooters on this.

my own.. The trigger is very strange, It has soo much pull/creep that the first time i shot it that i thought i had pulled it all the way back and it was not going to go off or was broken. However, that's just the way it is. Its gonna take some getting used to for it to be predictable for me.

STAR M30, 9mm Made in Spain

Gotta say I really liked this gun, Its built like a brick. I could certainly knock you out with it in one club to the head. It kinda reminds me of my Sig 229, Thick, heavy and a damn good shooter! No complaints about the pistol. I was not real happy that SOG charges 34.00 to ship to my dealer:rolleyes:, I thought that was a little high. And i might order another if someone else has them for the 299.00 that SOG does.

ARCUS 98DA 9MM, ordered from Classic, on sale for 279.99, +20.00 shipping to my dealer.

functions like a champ, Not one problem. Shot great and everyone seemed to like it. shot side by side with a browning HP, seemed very similar, but others commented that they liked the grip better on the Arcus98 due to the protection from slide bite. Obviously the HP will remain more valuable. Still a great looking gun at a very attractive price.

I saw you can convert them to .44 Mag by swapping the barrel and mag. Is that true?

    D.

true, I heard that its mainly newer ones though, I was gonna buy the barrel and mag myself before i shot the .50AE. Best place i found was on Gunbroker, i would be able to get barrel and mag for around 400.00
