Some minimum wager rubbing my dick in the name of national security doesn't make you safer.

No, but with minimum wage going up it might make it a little more interesting.:)

I hope the TSA is giving the 10's of thousands of illegals currently streaming over our border the old once over to make sure they don't have a stinger missile in their sombrero or a suitcase nuke in their suitcase.

You do know TSA has nothing to do with border protection, right?

Yes but the same idea applies to both: searching people to make sure they don't have anything on them to harm other people. It doesn't make sense that we feel up an old lady in a wheel chair flying to Kansas and we don't do the same to a gang banger who is knowingly entering the US illegally.
Both agencies are tasked with Homeland Security yet one can aggressively enforce taking a nail clipper from a US Marine and one is forced to stand down even when faced with true eminent danger. It's an upside down world.

(an FBI friend of mine was traveling with a team and they had to remove the screwdriver from their carry on tool bag. Credentialed FBI employees carrying tools they needed to do their job had to give them up. How did we ever get this far down the road to stupidity?)

The regs are pretty clear cut. They weren't "credentialed". That refers to them as being agents. Which they weren't. Agency non agents are no different than the regular traveling public.
The FBI or any other agency that had a special task to perform will get their "tools" there.
