The fact that it's on the Federal C&R list has nothing to do with the fact that, yes, it is on the Maryland Handgun Roster. The two lists are completely unrelated.
But it is on the roster, listed under BRNO or CZ, along with every single other CZ handgun.
If you want to buy a CZ 82 in a Maryland store, it has to be on the Roster. C&R status only means no one needs an HQL to buy it. Whether or not the purchaser has an 03 Federal Firearms License (Collector of Curios and Relics) is completely irrelevant.
If you have an 03 Federal Firearms License (Collector of Curios and Relics) you may import it (without the magazine) from out of state: you may have it shipped directly to the address listed on your Federal Firearms License, and because it is purely a Federal activity, the Maryland Handgun Roster is completely irrelevant.
You can buy it either way, under either set of laws, if you qualify.
I don't know where you weren't looking, but here it is on the Roster with all the other CZs:
What threeband said. For years, you could buy all the CZ82's you wanted with your C&R from out of state, but you couldn't buy one at a MD gun shop, or from another Maryland resident, because it wasn't on the roster. Unfortunately, now that it's on the roster, you can't buy one in MD with the original 12-round magazines.
When I got my SP-01 my FFL and I spent a good 5 minutes trying to find it on the roster. I got really scared there for a couple minutes. Should really be CZ or BRNO if they want to consolidate.
