Aaaaahhh...the I-talian bayonet-blade classic from Rostfrei. I have one of the whitish mother-of-pearl handled ones with brass liners and a swinging bolster but wouldn't think of carrying it around were it actually legal. Even with the safety switched on, those things are NOTORIOUS for opening up in one's pocket or otherwise prematurely and poking holes in one's soft bits. Even when Dirty Harry taped one to his leg and stuck that serial killer with it, the reality does not make it an effective weapon unless of last resort. A quality OTF stiletto or recessed-button side-opener is far more sturdily built and less likely to bite it's owner than these S.E. Hinton Specials.

Have always like carrying a simple 556 Mini-Griptilian. But something about the new HK Axis Tanto has made me finally add a new knife to the EDC stable.

My latest addition that just arrived today. A Delica with VG-10 Damascus steel, and titanium bead blasted handles. $150 shipped to my door. I think it was a bargain.

Love that knife and the carbon one you posted. My next knife might be Damascus.

Picked up a Mosier/Boker Trigonaught, inexpensive little fixed blade in 440C, looks cool, and I love sheepsfoot/reverse tanto blades. After a couple days I'm liking it more than I thought I would. The grip is very comfortable, control is great, and the high hollow grind and broad thin tip makes it a great slicer that pierces well. Compared to folders, there aren't many decent EDC-able fixed blades around, too bad, there isn't much as solid and as quick to deploy. It also works better than a folder weak side handle forward for a strong hand crossdraw or quick weak hand reverse grip draw from the multi-positionable kydex sheath, good spot for defense with a pistol strong side, or for everyday cutting tasks.

You know I had one but the Benchmade version and gave it away. Is this a S&G purchase or do you plan to actually use it? I'd be interested to see where you found it useful.

I just think it's cool as shit. Will probably carry it on weekends.

Added a couple of CRKTs to my Kershaw Skyline Damascus - an Eraser and Minimalist. Been EDCing all three simultaneously very comfortably.
