Those Conoways are trash, pure and simple. I hope they all get what's coming to them- painful syphilitic lesions leading to horrible and lingering paralysis

And just for the record, of all places to enforce the duty to retreat, BALTIMORE?!

    WTF?!

In the place you're MOST likely to be assaulted in your home, let's make you that much more vulnerable.

Sounds like Conaway is looking to go hunting.

They made no bones about using their influence to get old man Conaway that permit in the first place. I can't wait to hear Jr.'s testimony on this one.

Honestly, is there any chance of this passing? I read it, and think "wow, that seems like a dick move no matter what your political persuasion is". It's one thing to have a state law pre-empting your county law; it's a whole 'nother thing to have a state law stating your county may not pass a law. :-P

So...dirty politician, wants to make a SYG law in Baltimore, so he can shoot his neighbor / critical media member when he is mildly (allegedly) accosted by said person?

Or am I just completely speculating?

Maybe I'm reading it wrong. But it looked to me like it was to prohibit the city of Baltimore from passing a SYG law; as if they ever would.

I wonder how the City Council is going to react to be dictated to like this.

Yeah, I'd like to know what Conway's "good & substantial" was? I guess as long as you are connected being a 78 year old elected paper shuffler is enough!

crooked as they come. I'm so glad that someone who completed the 10th grade is the kind of great mind we have leading us.

I reiterate, I hope that whole family gets hit by a bus

You are obligated to retreat ... from the children ... pointing the guns at you and demanding your wallet.

But seriously, I don't have the luxury of hours or days to armchair-quarterback the retreat options when some thug comes at me with a <gun, knife, stick, rock.> (profanities redacted)
