I think well made 22LR guns hold most of their value. However all the sudden pot metal has made its way into 22LR production. Now you can get a version of any gun made out of pot metal that shoots 22LR. IMHO Pot metal is for BB guns. 22LR is to much power to trust to it. I know a friend of mine took 90% of a pot metal Walther P22 slide to the face because the pot metal failed at the front sight and sent the rest of the slide into his face. I think time will show these guns not to be up to the standards of a firearm.

That said, Rugers for example are well made 22LR firearms with good quality and known to be reliable. Ruger has not used cheap materials like Pot metal. Rugers hold much of their value.

Many companies are cashing in on this pot metal boom and allowing their Company name to be stamped on guns not made by them but by Glorified BB production companies.

If its not Steel or AL... I am not interested.

Me too. Some of my favorite toys say 22LR on the barrel. :D

Agreed. Other than the brouhaha over the term "toy" (which I think we all know what was meant), I would agree that they won't really hold their value.

They certainly won't hold their value like Cooper, Anschutz, CZ, or any other quality precision weapon made form high quality materials.
