They were incorrect on some stuff with me too, regarding HBARS and 30 rounders, and I was open carrying right in front of them LOL. They never said a thing about the open carry as they KNOW damn well it is legal in DE (thanks to all the DELOC members who live in the general area). If only they would learn about the MD "loopholes".

Try Gun Bunker in Shrewsbury, they actually call MSP for updates, as they have a lot of MDers come in the store. It was a year ago at least. Haven't been back since I moved as it's an hour's drive now.

edit- Gun Bunker guys did take the mags out and told me to keep them separate from the guns for transport, but had no issue selling them "separate".

I guess you did read the sign at the entrance that asked for legal carry in the store to be CONCEALED.

Not sure if such signs in DE hold any weight.

Never noticed the sign. I'll look for it today, picking up some 22lr later on.

DELOC members forged ahead the day the store opened, and found that Cabelas doesn't really mind open carry. The sign is probably corporate formalities, and yes, it doesn't hold weight in DE. I did ask DELOC about it ahead of time, they said no problem with that store. I've heard of it being done at the PA store as well, with no issues. You DO need to be escorted in/out if coming in with a cased unloaded gun for whatever purpose. Like you want to try out holsters... Lawful carry is a separate activity from that.

As you walk in, it is at the desk that is used to check in firearms brought into the store for service or return. Normally staffed by a person is an ORANGE vest.

    Hard to miss. :)

Was in there yesterday and completely missed it. I was looking for it at the front doors and not inside.

How does open carry work in DE? Do you have to be a resident?

From what I could find, Delaware holds open carry of handguns in a similar regard to how MD looks at LGOC. But it is legal.

Unload it before you get in your car though.

Not something I'm willing to attempt since I don't live there. The last thing I would want is any kind of firearms charge and the deleware state troopers to make an example out of me

Get your Utah or Florida CCW and carry concealed in DE, LEGALLY.

They do not recognize VA permits.
