I would be very careful linking things that are unrelated just because it fits a narrative. If hogan expands CCW and next year there are 400 killings in bodymore we wouldnt want to take responsibility for that either.

As another posted said, the point is that they said their laws would cut down on gun violence and they clearly did not. We're not saying that CCW and the like will necessarily lower gun violence, we're just saying they shouldn't be denying us our right to self-defense. The side-effects of such legislation should be irrelevant when we're talking about natural rights. Yet their whole argument is we need to sacrifice our rights because their laws will have positive effects. It's clearly a sham.

The latest NRA video stresses the "criminal control" aspect - that is what needs to be stressed to the MGA, not the reasons for/against gun control. More guns or less guns does not mean lower or higher crime rates.

More/less repeat criminals on the streets is what will impact crime rates.

The key point is that the behavior of lawless criminals will not be affected by laws that only affect the law abiding. It would be unwise trying to create a causality between the law and the homicide numbers, just like it is foolish to create a link between CCW laws and homicide numbers.

I heard the feds are releasing 6000 'nonviolent drug offenders in the coming months. I suggest we go and round up some of the repeat violent parole violators and fill those spots right back up.

How long ago did MD ban the "Saturday Night Special" because that is what criminals use? So now the Criminals use a Glock instead, see how much safer we are?
You cannot blame the animals who commit crime, that will cost you the vote of the animals family. Blame the tool used and you can still get elected in MD. We all blame the politicians, but, remember how they get in office! This is what the majority of people in MD want and this is what they get!

Perfect timing. This is brand new on the approved list. I hesitate to order a gun that costs more to transfer than the gun itself.. :D

I know that Baltimore city has the most murders and shooting, but is there any place that post the stats for all of Maryland?

Holy cow. If you do get one post here if it works. That's the cheapest new gun ever.

There are some national 'heat maps' but nothing so definitive. And national data varies in how it's collected and presented.

Not with the daily play by play. A year later, there are DOJ and FBI stats broken down by agency.

    This.

Bingo! FSA2013 severely restricted the constitutional rights of law abiding citizens, but failed to have any impact on criminal activity, which is the alleged reason for its passage.

No law will impact criminal activity. The only thing that can do that is separating criminals from the general population. I don't believe for a minute that people like Brian Frosh aren't aware of that.

No doubt in my mind the MGA will be introducing more gun control under the guise of FSA2013 not going far enough....FSA2016 should be something to behold....then they will toss in the stats on how the HPRB now hands out carry permits like Halloween candy and the process is now a mockery of what was intended back in 1972......

    Nonsense.

    FSA2013 failure

FSA2013 failure because its only purpose was to increase O'Malley's cred as a Progressive. Oh! Look at the polls. "In the most recent polls, presidential contender Martin O'Malley has the support of roughly 0% of the electorate in the Democratic primary"

    Absolutely true.

He's still licking the hand that helped him originally get elected, and he's running for the publicity, hoping for scraps. His highest ambition was to perhaps poll well enough to get offered a position somewhere in the socialist, er... democrat party. Looks like even that ain't happening.

FSA2013 has kept us from having a mass shooting and all the Baltimore shootings are because Maryland is surrounded by states without HQLs.. Don't worry, Frosh and the libs have already wrote the script..

There's been at least two FBI definition mass-shootings in Baltimore this year, but the victims weren't of the right race or income level for the bloody-shirt waivers to mention them.

I couldn't agree more. He did this to get attention for his run for the presidency and nothing else. If he knew ahead of time how it would swim up and bite him in the ass later on, he never would have done it.
