Bazooka Brothers is another option. A lot more money though.
Midway has an Olympic upper and mag on sale right now for $720. I think it uses modified grease gun mags.

I just started looking at these myself and would like to learn more.

Last year I looked around a lot as I wanted to try to do something "different" and I realized it was going to cost me an awful lot so I eventually gave up. I too was looking for something like 45acp as I thought it would be a lot of fun but prices were high.

I seem to remember there was someone making a 44 mag upper for a while.

I just saw Noveske built one that uses Glock mags. Probably a one off, but they have pics of it on Instagram.

I have a 45 SBR with a 6" barrel built on an Olympic upper. I've been talking to Rudy at Macon Armory in GA about awitching to a DI upper that he makes. He also make a mag well block that uses USC mags. I'm running a registered MGI lower with a grease gun magwell. Here is a pic of 3 different 45 mag options.
Top on is the MGI with GG magwell.
Middle is a standard lower with Rudy's mag well block and promag USC mags.
Bottom is a Olympic 45 mag that requires no mag well block.

Id think Lone Wolf would run one off sooner or later on their glock compatible lowers.

The usual recommendation is to use a DDLES lower and a DI upper from RMW.

My understanding is DDLES is out of biz but the machinery is in someone elses hands.

Went with lone wolf on the 9mm side just because its available and hoping any issues are easy tweaks I can handle.

For that kinda of money, check out Lone Wolf website. The Glock website as they have whole rifles that take Glock mags in 9mm, 40 and .45acp. Pretty reasonable if I remember correctly.....and RRA makes a 9mm and .40 caliber. Good luck with them.
