    10-22 takedown - epic fun
Volquartsen trigger guts - epic success
Leupold QR scope rings - epic FAIL

Love everything about this gun except after I sighted in at 25 yards, then tested scope removal/reinstall, scope was off by 3" at 25 yards.

Love the Nikon rimfire scope but it won't fit in the bag installed on the receiver. I need to either replace the scope with a bugbuster or replace the bag with something that will let me use conventional fixed scope mounts.

anyone familiar with these roll and go cases?

I run the Nikon P-22 on mine with UTG quick release scope rings and have no POI change with removal. You sure everything is set up properly? Do you have your barrel tight? I had to tighten mine out of the box when I got it. It seemed to lock up fine but I got to messing with it and was able to get it a good 1/4 turn tighter and still with in what ruger calls for in the specs.

I like that roll and go case though!

    These are the rings.

Thanks ! I thought it was tight but I'll double check it. All I did tho was take the scope off and put it back on, I did not break the rifle down for that test, and it put 50-80 rounds in a nice tight group prior to that.

I need a scope for mine and I'm looking for tight and compact. I'm looking at the Weaver RV-7 Rimfire Classic. I'm not sold on quick release but the little ones like above look promising.

Did you try fitting it in the case, but not in the pouch inside the case?

I just added a Bushnell rimfire scope to mine ($30 at Walmart). It came with rings, but they were garbage. Grabbed a set of Leupold rings and its set up pretty nice. No range report yet. So we'll see how it holds zero.

The receiver no longer fits in the big pouch on one side, but it does still fit in the bag outside of the pouch.

Interesting on the QR rings. I have them on my non takedown 10/22 with a Redfield Tac22 installed and after removing and reinstalling the scope mine is dead on @ 50yards. Did you install in the same slots and push the scope forward and down while tightening the rings?

My 2-7 leupold scope fits in the bag...I didn't do QD rings to avoid the issues you guys are talking about

I use the QR rings on all of my 10/22's. I have never had any set not keep its zero when removed and reinstalled.

I use Warne QD mounts on a number of my rifles, including my 10/22 TD. They seem to hold zero pretty well, at least as near as I can tell. The Ruger case seems to have a nice little pocket for the scope after it is removed. I haven't looked at the case lately, but that is how I remember it.
