    Sweet..............thats a lot of scope for a lever gun!

    Thanks. You are right. It is a whole lot of scope for a 30-30. I got a hell of a deal on that scope 25 or 30 years ago and it has been on there ever since. It stretches out a lot further than I would feel comfortable taking a deer with that caliber gun, but it has served me well.

    The newest lever action to my collection.

    Marlin model 56, Mag for it came yesterday, gonna try it out today to make sure it at least functions. threw a vintage weaver scope on it, if the scope is any good ill sight it in as well. and take a pic later.

    2007 pre-Remington Marlin 1895 Guide Gun and leupold 4x. 45/70 and great fun. When I first bought this rifle I was 18 and 150lbs wet. The owners of Ricks Gun and Pawn up in Connowingo told me that if I didn't like it, i.e. if the recoil was too much, to return it and they'd give me 60% of my money back. Challenge accepted. Shot it, loved it. Still do today. Great little shooter, tons of fun and always a conversation piece at the range or around the camp fire.
