    Good Afternoon,

This class is strictly for experienced shooters that want to up their game in manipulation of their pistol under stress. The only stress that will be put upon the shooter will be time constraints and the occasional unknown distraction from the instructor. But it is a guarantee that you will learn a lot and have a bunch of fun doing. For those who are interested in what the course offers, here is what I got:

This course will cover the following:

    • Combat Mindset/ Situational Awareness
    • Gear/ Kit considerations and proper placement
    • Quick refresher of the basic fundamentals of pistol marksmanship
    • Compression of the Fundamentals
    • Accelerated Shooting
    • Immediate and Remedial Action for common malfunctions
    • Pivots and Forward Movement Shooting Techniques
    • Barricade Shooting Considerations
    • Gun Fight
    • Assault Course of Fire

This course is done all on the range so be prepared to shoot rain or shine. The shooter is required to bring the following:

    • One serviceable pistol
    • 3 serviceable magazines for pistol
    • 400 Rounds for the pistol
    • 2 magazine holders or pouches
    • Seasonal/ Weather Appropriate Clothing
    • Closed toe Hiking or Combat Boots

The shooter is also required to provide some kind of verifiable source of basic pistol instruction. Because of the more advanced material covered, we don’t need to waste any time waiting on shooters to catch up and it is also a safety concern.

Total Cost for the course: $200.00 Lunch will be provided

Payment for the will be done in two parts there will be an up front non refundable deposit of $100 due 24 hours before the course date (call if there are any problems). Of course the rest of the payment is due at the beginning of the course. The payment methods are cash or check made out to Engage Armament and delivered in person. All of our course's start at 09:00 AM unless otherwise posted.

I hope to see as many of you as possible in the up coming course's and thank you for your time.

I am having some issues with marksmanship. Due to medical reasons. At times my arms go numb due to a pinched nerve. How extensive will the marksmanship area be covered??

I would have to see how your injury inhibits you while you are shooting and suggest different methods you can try to help you get back on target. Let me ask you, is this injury temporary as in you are recovering or is this a permanent injury?

Hey Aj, in the email you sent out you said

"we are not meeting at the range we are shooting at, we are meeting at my bosses house for some admin stuff and a quick class on Combat Mindset"

But I've only got an address for the range, so more likely than not, I'll meet you and the class there.

Anyone go to this? How'd it go?

    I did.

    GREAT training.
Information provided got me thinking about my current mindset and how I need to make several changes in the way I see and react to everyday events.
Training at the new range reaffirmed the fact, that practice of the fundamentals is paramount to proper shot placement.
    Notes to self:
Dirt don't hurt (rocks do) - remember knee pads
    Increase cardio training.
Re-asses "battle kit" - holster placement, belt, accessories.

Big thanks go out to AJ and crew for a fantastic day of training.

What is the location of the range? Not at Ted's anymore?

    Amazing day of training!

A big thanks to AJ, Buddy, Ted and all the rest for an awesome and rewarding day of training and shooting. It was also a pleasure to meet everyone and I must the sandwiches at lunch time did not disappoint!

I did however wake up this morning with those much expected bumps and bruises from the prone work, but like I said in class I have a little more PSI to worry about than you skinny folks!

I would recommend this and other courses by Engage that ppl are contemplating taking. Good People!

PS anyone thinking of take this in the future I recommend knee pads and elbow pads
