No its not on the list. The G3 was developed FROM the CETME so its basically the same deal as the AR-10 & AR-15.

IIRC, The mags were slightly different, but I don't know if they are different enough to not be banned.

The following parts are NOT interchangeable between the HK 91/G3 and the CETME:

    Bolt Carriers
    Bolt Head
    Cocking Tube
Individual fire control group parts like trigger, sear, hammer (can be swapped out as a set)
    Locking Lever for bolt carrier
    Locking Piece
Recoil Buffer (Unless using HK buttstock)
    Support for Cocking Handle
    Trunions

I'd say that's not completely interchangeable internal components for the operation of the firearm.

There was a rumor once upon a time that Century was sitting on a ton of 5.56x45 CETME kits. I wonder whatever happened with that?

I'm pretty sure century is out of parts kits and builds. Find one online, and we'll be happy to do the transfer.

Woo hoo. This question has been asked about 10 times. The final answer has always been"Find a dealer who will sell one". Well we just did.

Still leaning toward PTR91 PDW. It's great to have options.

    Thank you very much.

Is the c93 the same rifle? If so then is ok to go to in Maryland right?

Neither the CETME or G3 are anything like the C93. The C93 is an Hk93 Clone, which is 556. The CETME and G3 are 308 battle rifles. If all parts are interchangeable with the HK93, the C93 is banned.

    Back in MD sadly
If all parts are interchangeable with the HK93, the C93 is banned.

Only the fixed stock model of the 93 is banned.

The entry specifically says HK93A2, it does not mention the A3 model which is the collapsible stock model nor does it say HK93 by itself.

Therefore since the law mentions specific models and the HK93A3 is a specific model then ironically if the buttstock is collapsible or folding it is Maryland legal.

Sure, I also believe that. However, the firearms search separately lists the 93a3 as banned also. We don't have resources to challenge everything, but that's the stance MSP is taking now.

Quick question, Century will ship their C308 at the end of this month. It's a CETME-clone with a reasonable MSRP.

Will these be MD-legal? Any IPs have plans to carry them?
