Looks interesting. Does anyone know how easy it is to strip... compared to a Ruger 22/45?

I'd give it a test fire but it would be hard to replace my buckmark. I got super excited thinking it was a new victory revolver.

    I'd love a parkerized 2inch......shut up

If they keep the serial number on the frame, it might be nice to be able to swap out barrels and stuff without going through ffls. Although with a threaded bull for 30 bucks more, who cares a bunch.

As long as it takes for the first MD resident who really wants one to go through the roster submission/approval process. Usually 3-4 months. S&W may have already submitted it ahead of time. You have to contact Ms. Jenkins at MSP Licensing to find out.

I'll keep my S&W 422,622, and 2206. Solid, reliable as can be, and they don't look like an ugly stepchild.

Looks like a Mark 3 and a Buckmark had a retarded baby.

I wouldn't say that. It looks like it was designed by an early 1900's gun designer (other than Browning) who time traveled to the future and got a quick glimpse of a Ruger Mk 3.

I don't know that forum rules permit me to attach the owners manual, but it is on the S&W site. The upper receiver is held on by a set screw in front of the trigger guard. The barrel is held in the receiver by another set screw.

They also have a threaded barrel model http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_846573_-1_804153_757752_757751_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y

    It's still an ugly receiver.
